Born in Earnley, West Sussex, Jason has spent his entire working life in construction. Having served his apprenticeship at a local joiners, he is a fully qualified carpenter and joiner whose passion for precision craft laid the foundation for WSCB.

Over nearly 25 years as founder and director, Jason has guided the company through the continuous evolution of modern construction, blending traditional, master-level joinery with cutting-edge building techniques, modern materials, and energy-efficient practices. His unwavering ambition to deliver exceptional quality underpins WSCB’s reputation across the region, building trusted relationships with homeowners, architects, and structural teams alike. A firm believer in leading from the front, Jason maintains an active, hands-on presence across WSCB's developments, personally overseeing projects from breaking ground to final detail to ensure every build lives up to the company’s core promise: "Our customers’ satisfaction is our first priority."

FOUNDER, FINANCE & ESTIMATING DIRECTOR

Paul began his career serving a traditional 5 year apprenticeship as a yacht builder and marine engineer, a background in high-precision joinery and marine-grade standards that naturally led to his fully qualified carpenter and joiner credentials. Joining forces with Jason to co-found WSCB, Paul brought that meticulous, exacting eye into the broader landscape.

As Finance and Estimating Director, Paul plays a pivotal role in the strategic and financial management of the business. He oversees project costing, estimating, budgeting and financial planning, ensuring that every project is commercially viable and delivered in line with client expectations. Drawing on decades of hands-on construction experience, Paul provides invaluable insight during the tendering and pre-construction stages, balancing cost efficiency with the high standards of quality and craftsmanship for which WSCB is known. His ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear financial and commercial strategies is instrumental in delivering successful projects and maintaining long-term client relationships.

He takes a special interest in heritage restoration and conservation work, applying the deep experience and specialist knowledge WSCB has built through its work with The National Trust. Whether managing sensitive period properties or complex bespoke builds, Paul’s deep understanding of historic fabric and exacting standards ensures every project is delivered with uncompromising care and accuracy.

PROJECTS DIRECTOR

Having been a core part of WSCB for over twenty years, Jamie brings a powerful combination of hands-on building knowledge and high-level corporate management to his role as Project Director. His unique background, spanning trade carpentry, construction, and corporate operations, gives him an exceptional ability to navigate the complex logistics of modern building projects while keeping every build on time and within budget.

Renowned for his pragmatic problem-solving and focus on client aspirations, Jamie acts as the ultimate bridge between all project stakeholders. His calm, empathetic approach to communication ensures smooth collaboration across clients, architects, site teams, and specialist suppliers. By balancing rigorous structural oversight with genuine client care, Jamie ensures every project is delivered seamlessly from initial concept to final handover.

OFFICE MANAGER

Sarah is the Office Manager at WSCB, bringing over 30 years of experience in the construction industry across administration, purchasing and IT Support.

Sarah joined the company in September 2015 as a PA/Administrator and has since developed a key role in the day-to-day running of the business.

Her broad experience and excellent organisational skills help ensure the office operates smoothly and efficiently, supporting both the team and the company’s clients.

Over the years, Sarah has demonstrated great loyalty and dedication to the company, becoming a dependable and highly valued member of the WSCB team. Her commitment, attention to detail and willingness to support colleagues wherever needed have made her an important part of the continued success and smooth operation of the business.

With a friendly and professional approach, Sarah enjoys being part of a dedicated team and takes pride in providing reliable support across all areas of the business.

SITE MANAGER

A local qualified Site Manager with a strong engineering background, Paul brings over nine years of site management and construction experience with WSCB.

Known for a strong work ethic and a hands-on, professional approach, Paul takes great pride in delivering high-quality results across every project. Over the years, this experience has spanned a broad range of building works, including new builds, extensions, renovations, refurbishments, and the remodelling of older properties.

An engineering background provides Paul with a deep technical understanding of construction, planning, and structural problem-solving. Skilled in coordinating trades and managing subcontractors, Paul consistently maintains rigorous standards of workmanship while ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to exact quality specifications.

Guided by a commitment to clear communication, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail, Paul strives to complete every project on schedule while keeping the client’s expectations at the forefront of every stage.

SITE MANAGER

A fourth-generation tradesman, Joe carries on a long family tradition that instils a genuine appreciation for quality craftsmanship and doing things right. Having worked with WSCB since 2007, he brings nearly two decades of extensive, hands-on experience across a wide spectrum of construction projects.

Driven by a strong attention to detail, Joe thrives on technical challenges and enjoys working with an array of modern building technologies and materials. At the same time, he retains a deep respect for traditional construction methods, expertly blending classic craftsmanship with contemporary building practices.

From concept through to completion, he takes pride in managing projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to exacting standards. Guided by thorough planning, clear communication, and a true passion for understanding how buildings work, Joe ensures every finished build reflects exceptional quality while meeting client expectations at every turn.

SITE MANAGER

Harry began his construction career in 2014, following in his father’s footsteps into carpentry. Leaving school at 16, he went straight into a three-year Level 3 NVQ in Carpentry and Joinery with WSCB, building a solid foundation in traditional trades.

After qualifying, Harry spent several years working on the tools, gaining hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of WSCB projects. Driven by a desire for greater responsibility and professional growth, he steadily worked his way up through the business into site management, where he now oversees teams and site operations to keep projects running seamlessly from start to finish.

Having built his career from the ground up, Harry serves as a strong role model for incoming apprentices, demonstrating a clear, rewarding trajectory within WSCB. His practical background gives him a deep appreciation for fine craftsmanship and clear communication, ensuring every project is delivered with quality, precision, and a collaborative approach on site.

SITE MANAGER

Mark is a Site Manager and restoration carpenter with 40 years of experience across the construction industry. Having started his career with an indentured apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery, he quickly developed a keen eye for detail that led to managing workshop operations under tight deadlines and demanding environments.

Holding a Master’s degree in Building Conservation, Mark combines deep structural and technical understanding with a passion for historic architecture. Over the decades, he has built a strong track record working alongside main contractors and leading teams of all sizes, bringing enthusiasm, strong motivation, and clear organisation to every site he manages.

Mark’s commitment to high standards and historic preservation has earned him notable industry recognition, including a Sussex Heritage Trust Award where judges praised his work by noting "no fault could be found" in the quality and attention to detail. Extremely organised and approachable, he ensures his team delivers exceptional workmanship while maintaining the highest standards of conservation and build quality across WSCB’s portfolio.
